When only the best will do.....

As a nail technician I am only as good as my products. So to me the quality of my product is paramount. Through my sixteen years of working full time as a professional manicurist I have collected a stable of products that I consider to be the best like Channel, O.P.I and of course Creative Nail Design.

I am very passionate about these products and I am only to happy to answer any of your questions.

However here are a few of the most commonly asked questions.

Does wearing Acrylic weaken my nails?

Acrylic doesn’t weaken nails, bad nail technicians and poor products weaken nails. Excessive thinning of the natural nail through over filing must be avoided at all costs! Destroying the natural nail to do nail enhancements is not the job of the professional nail technician.

Can I keep wearing my nail enhancements during my pregnancy?
The answer is yes, you can safely wear artificial nails! There is absolutely no reason to believe that it is harmful to wear acrylics, gels and even polish during your pregnancy. Artificial nails products polymerize and harden with in three minutes. This eliminates the chance of any product penetrating beyond the very topmost layers of the nail bed.

What is the difference between Acrylic and Gel?
Gel is not as strong as Acrylic, but has more flexibility.

How long should my nail enhancements last between appointments?
With any enhancement the average time duration between visits is three weeks.

Should I take my enhancements off to give them a break & let them breathe?
No, your nail does not actually breathe. Your natural nail plate is made of Keratin, which is made of many tiny dead protein cells, not too unlike your hair. The only part of your natural nail that is alive is your matrix area located under your skin.
